For decades, the go to look for a formal event has always been the signature “Black Tie” suit. Why rent a generic fit suit when Every gentleman can have a custom, well-tailored suit in the closet. It’s important to create a look that is yours with a fit that compliments your body. For something that you will only wear a few of times in a year, why not make sure you look your absolute best when you do? In designing your suit, a properly sized lapel should be proportional with your chest size. Here at Mokief, we always recommend a “Wide Peak Lapel” for that distinguished look that turns heads. Never own a jacket that looks like it’s having a fabric deficiency! In this case, more is less for your lapel.
In addition, every gentlemen needs to own at least one black bow tie and more importantly, know how to tie one. YouTube tutorials are always available to assist you. It’s a fairly easy thing to do. Clip-on’s and the prettied ones should remain in your child’s wardrobe and a true gentleman should have the freedom of loosening the tie with a single pull at the end of a formal event. Your tie should compliment the look of your suit and you will never go wrong with a black tie.
When it comes to the pants, here at MoKief, we recommend a tapered pant for a classic look. Many of our clients focus on a perfectly fitting jacket, but neglect the importance of the pants. After you leave your jacket on the back of a chair, your pants become the focus. A perfect fitting pants can leave you the best dressed gent in the room. Consider stylish pleats or a classic flat front. The legs can be straight with a length slightly above your ankles with just enough room to show some skin. Consider suspenders so there are No belt loops. Picture loosing your jacket at some point of the evening while in a conversation with a gent over a slow burning cigar and laughter. Here at MoKief, we help you standout in a build that is simple but elegant. You will be the one in the room that looks your best. You will feel comfortable and confident in your skin and in your suit. Our Consultants will help you design the suit that fits your style (Tunis, 2017).
